The National Center for the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas recently celebrated 20 years of activity, 20 years of "Correct information - the key to the recognition of studies". On this occasion, CNRED handed over to the collaborators, public authorities, higher education institutions, professional bodies, Certificates of appreciation for the constant partnership and the active role in developing and supporting the recognition of the studies.
Between October 23 and 25, 2019, CNRED organized at the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest a new training session for the authorities registered in the Internal Market Information System (IMI) and in the European Commission Database with regulated professions (RegProf).
On September 24, 2019, the representatives of CNRED participated in the thematic meeting dedicated to the access to education of refugees on the territory of Romania, organized in Bucharest by the National Council for Refugees in Romania.
During September 19-20, 2019, CNRED organized in the Aula Magna of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova new training sessions for the authorities registered in the Internal Market Information System (IMI).
Worldwide Expansion of Recognition Centers - Japan opens its own National Academic Recognition Information Center
Since 1st of September, based on the Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the recognition of qualifications in higher education (known as the Tokyo Convention), Japan has inaugurated the National Academic Recognition Information Center to provide information on higher education qualifications in Japan, thus facilitating their recognition worldwide.

The UNESCO headquarters hosted recently in Paris the work of the 8th meeting of the Lisbon Convention Committee on Recognition of Higher Education Studies. The Lisbon Convention is currently ratified by 54 states in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and other regions of the world, since Romania has been a signatory since 1998.
Between 23rd and 26th of June, a series of events took place in Bologna, Italy, on the 20th Anniversary of the Bologna Declaration on the Upgrading and Restructuring of Higher Education Systems.
On June 25th, CNRED representatives participated in the conference on the closure of the "INTERACT Plus - Integrated Services for Migrants, Social and Intercultural Dialogue" project, implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Romanian Office, in partnership with the Ecumenical Association of the Churches of Romania – AIDRom, Schottener Social Services Foundation, Global Help Association Craiova and the Romanian Association for Promotion of Quality and Success Practices Braşov.
ENIC-NARIC member centers met for the 26th Annual Conference in Cologne, Germany, in the period 16-18 June. The event was organized by the Conference of Ministers of Education and Culture of the Länder (KMK) with the support of the German NARIC Center (ZAB) and under the patronage of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.
